About Tru

Apparently this is where I have to write about me; book aside, this is something I often find incredibly difficult, but here goes!

My experience of IVF is from a patient’s perspective gained during several years’ worth of treatment cycles. All very different and both NHS and privately provided, my questioning nature was both a gift and a curse throughout, giving me an insight into the intense and fascinating world of infertility. My twin pregnancy was another eye-opener, as was the birth – if you have any stories about your own experiences I’d love to hear about them.

In terms of my working life, I began my career in soft furnishings retail then moved abroad to Geneva, Switzerland, in my early twenties, where I was an au pair for a short time. I stayed for several years then returned to England and changed careers completely, working in an office environment in positions from telephone receptionist to creative designer, and pretty much everything in between!
